Description
Lake Jocassee was created in 1973 by South Carolina/Duke Power from damming the Seneca River. When completed, Lake Jocassee covered 7500 acres, 300' deep with 75 miles of shoreline. The creation of Lake Jocassee is actually recorded in the movie "Deliverance"
This photo was taken on December 14, 2013. We had got some good rain the day prior so I was off to Devils Fork State Park to look for breeding Wood Frogs and Spotted Salamanders. When I arrived the fog was so thick that I had to put the amphibians on hold to get some shots of the lake. Later on I did find what appeared to be Wood Frog eggs but I still have yet to find either species there.

Hi! Where exactly was this taken in Devils Fork State Park? Is this dock still there? and easily accessible? Looking to shoot some footage here!
Derek Thornton replied:
It is no longer there, it was moved to another location. There is a dock at Devils Fork that is real easy to get to.
